The Los Angeles Entertainment Community Joins Forces To Raise Funds To Benefit The Victims Of Hurricane Katrina
It started as a simple crusade among friends in the music industry who, after seeing and hearing about the disaster, wanted to make a physical contribution to the victims of Katrina. As more stories and personal connections to victims were discovered and shared, this group began to feel helpless. This helplessness easily and effortlessly morphed into a passion to do something. In a matter of hours, they formed the group ECHO (Entertainment Community Helping Others) and began organizing a fundraiser called Los Angeles H.E.A.R.T. for the South.
